Il Fornello Social Media Campaign
Il Fornello is a casual dining restaurant chain operating in the GTA. During my second year at Humber College, I was fortunate enough to participate in a design competition as a part of my course work. Il Fornello had challenged the design students to come up with an interactive social campaign to promote their $12 pizza deal. The top five groups were invited to pitch their ideas and designs to Il Fornello management.

design elements
Il Fornello had some design elements that were already outlined through their brand code, however we were allowed to explore additional motifs. The team came up with the addition of the leaves and circle motifs and shadows to add depth to the visuals.

This project was a group effort with my talented team mates, Finndlay Downer, Andres Uribe, and Leslie Giron
Results
Our team ended up being one of the teams that was selected to move to the second round – presenting our concepts to Il Fornello management. It was the first time we had pitched an idea and overall it was a great experience to build confidence and presentation skills. While we didn’t win the competition, the restaurant did ask to use our additional motifs and they were used in the visuals for the campaign.
